Georg Bieker

International Council on Clean Transportation

Georg is a researcher on the ICCT Europe team. With a background in battery research, he supports ICCT’s expertise on electric vehicle policies. His current work further aims at improving consumer information on real world emissions of passenger cars in Europe.
Georg holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (summa cum laude) from the University of Muenster (Germany). In his research at MEET Battery Research Center, and during research stays in Italy and Israel, he focused on the development of more sustainable Next Generation battery systems, such as lithium/sulfur and magnesium/sulfur batteries.
